Logo designed for a construction company who offers general construction services including new and remodeling builds and property maintenance. The company culture is Mexican-american roots (minority owned) with a Texan western flair. Brandmark, letter V constructed in golden ratio and separated in 4 color defined elements that part the form in intriguing color and form composition. Brandmark is paired with a geometric, elegant typeface with a vintage feeling. Wordmark has incorporated modification that brings the weight of the characters closer to the ground. The logo is available in a vertical and horizontal composition. When used in monochrome options different colors are represented as brandmark character construction. Brandmark elements can be used in the creation of different textures and patterns that serve as supporting branding resources.

The client wanted something that very boldly said their canines were service dogs (mostly) and bred in the U.S. I put the U.S. flag in a shield, with an attentive (not aggressive) German Shepherd. A variety of colors were used so the client would have options depending on the material the logo was being placed on. Aimed for the appropriate mix of loyalty + service + protection. The dog was sketched using Illustrator, just with a mouse.

From advocating for better mental health care and awareness, to forming help hotlines, to lobbying for better laws and execution of those laws, this organization aims to stop mass violence before it starts. The target audience ranges from anyone who wants to take part in the cause to anyone who is having thoughts of committing such acts--it is our goal to bring the two together with the intent to have them actively listen and speak to one another to gain a better understanding of why this happens in addition to preventing it from happening. The main idea in the organization's name is "Mass Violence Prevention," so that is where we would like to have emphasis in the text.

Cattle Ranch Logo

Text is custom drawn. For the Icon I took the black angus and the horse and created a modern but classic icon. I kept their signature S shaped brand in the center of the icon, where it could also be seen as a brand on the cow and the horse. You will also notice that at a quick glance or if you squint your eyes and look at the icon the cow actually looks like the horse's saddle. So it has some visual trickery, lol. I kept the colors blue and red but used muted colors, like rust for the red and a deep grey blue to make it look more classic and natural.
