And he has spent his whole life running from the port to port, hiding behind a hood and a swift ship from the imperials who stole land, capital, and crown from his kind and left them to rot in thinning bloodlines. But when he blows his crew’s cover on imperial docks, he is forced to confront the will of an Empire and the humans who rule it. With newly discovered powers to aid him and whispers on the wind to guide him, turning himself over to the imperial bounty hunter dispatched to capture him might not seem like the brightest of ideas, but Shye knows the answer to the call lies in Mistral, the capital of the Empire. And he is just in time to make the perfect coronation gift to the crown prince.
