In their 30th anniversary issue they wanted an illustration that show the changes and challenges the new technologies represent for the journalists. I approach the subject seeing the future as a river we cross, in this case jumping from one new app to another. We don´t see dry land ahead because is not certain, and we left the old securities (the nest, the land) behind. I work near the client, following her advise until I complete change my original idea, but the result work and is a good example of great colaboration and the importance of it.

The client ask for an illustration for printing on the side of desktop gaming pc. He ask for it be energetic and not too centered towards just one kind of game. Consulting gamers I understand that most of them look at their computers as the WW2 look at their planes, so I went for a pinup, but with modern and savage aesthetic. The details in the girl clothes and things hint to the different types of gaming.

The client wanted to illustrate an opinion article about the difficulty to predict a winner in some upcoming elections. The author label that effort as futile. My concept was compare the "predicting winner" process to find shapes in the clouds, because even when yo find one, that would last a few moments and change. The girl in the illustration is looking for the shapes of the logos of the political parties mentioned in the article.
