The design itself is an abstract graphic of dynamic shapes wich referenced by professional NHL sets. I try to keep it simple, not too distracting and use simple color palette to make it easier on the production process.

My client had a photo that needed to be stylized to fit in with his website design, and he wanted text added that blended slightly with the scene. I painted over about 50% of the photo with solid colors (reducing the gradients across areas) and ran a PSD filter over the remainder to soften it. The text was given a flowing layout to mimic movement in the wind, and the font was drawn over with a cloud-like wispy brush.

I used percentage shades of that blue, a similar methodology to setting an illustration to print in one ink yet still retain subtle image shading. Client works in the health sciences field.

This image contains three animals (a fox, an owl, and a squirrel) on a tree without any leaves. Through looking at thumbnails posted, I received my inspiration and began to draw. I let my hand lead the way, rather than my mind, as I enjoy experimenting with pen and marker. The result was a seemingly mobile tree with animals attached at different portions; in the background there are many trees that are completely black in order to give more emphasis to the focal point in the foreground.
