Yokai Musubi Restaurant - Logo

Client : "Something that incorporates both Yokai and musubi in a not scary way" Me: "Yes." ---- A very unique and interesting brand concept for Japanese-Hawaiian restaurant that specialized in serving musubi (A nori covered ball of rice with various fillings and flavors) There are many kinds of yōkai (supernatural beings found in Japanese folk religion) call it Japanese ghost if you want :p. I choose to go with an imagery of Tengu as the main logo, reason is because it can be easily recognized by people as a being from Japanese folklore. This unique & peculiar characteristic of Tengu (Red face, long nose, white hair) plus a silhouette of rising sun in the background convey more authentic, humble & affordable image that says the shop is here to fill the bellies of the working class without breaking the bank. Also fun Tengu expression while eating musubi resonates cheerful vibes that speaks they serve the ultimate comfort food that can even make a ghost smile! :)

ToriDori Logo

The ToriDori logo is a vibrant celebration of Japanese culinary artistry! Two Brothers Farm

The concept behind this logo is rooted in the idea of freshness and authenticity, capturing the essence of a farm-to-table experience. As the client requested, green peas take center stage in the design, representing the farm’s commitment to offering the best natural produce. I carefully hand-drew each vegetable—reddish, eggplant, onion, tomato, zucchini, and green peas—to reflect the care and craftsmanship involved in growing organic food. The rustic frame and natural colors were chosen to enhance the organic feel of the design, with earthy tones drawn directly from the vegetables themselves, symbolizing the rich and fresh nature of the farm’s produce. Every detail was thoughtfully crafted to emphasize the farm’s dedication to organic farming practices and the authenticity behind its offerings.

Bowl Mama is a "Boat Noodle" restaurant franchise. Bowl mama offers a small bowls of noodle for around a $1 each, customers would typically eat 4-5 bowls each. Although the bowls are small they pack a lot of amazing flavour and are super addictive. This is a fun restaurant, targeting the ages between 17-35, as well as families and groups of friends.
