Had opportunity to work with Natalie on refreshing and updating her old logo to match her future plan and establish desired brand direction. The main idea was to make design more client centric and we based on this using two shapes, rounded rectangles, intertwining and interacting with each other forming wavy, soft ring evoking approachability and friendliness in communication with clients creating perfect piece of jewelry matching their aesthetics and desires. Considering circle geometry, symbolism and characteristics it was good choice to show your desire to be more client-centric. In addition to outer ring we revised NB monogram which Natalie already used and gave it more clearer form with subtle details which dont affect legibility on smaller sizes as well. Further we designed this unique custom made semi serif typography which gives really luxury and premium feel. Really wonderful cooperation with this client and glad that she liked end results as I really did.

Stone and Sterling monogram logo

Liz and Rob came to me with another project that they needed completed. They wanted to brand their jewelry business with classy and timeless logo that is both elegant but also crafty. One of main tasks is to include small ball pen jeweler hammer which we did in one way that could work in this design. We brought concept of timelessness and uniformity by using single looping line creating this symbol. It provides enough playfulness while still keeping it classy and stylish. In addition to it matching typography has been made. I used two fonts from and combining letters from those two I have managed to make it less masculine without using ornaments or script type of letters that may give slightly different message and feel we are trying to convey. It has nice balance of curved letters, which perfectly match roundness and fluidity of symbol, whit classy luxury sans serif characters, with just a little tracking of letters that reinforces elegance.

Polygonal logo for Jewel Deals

I wanted to create visual pun by integrating two aspects of company name into one cleverly executed symbol hence why I used diamond and price tag. I used diamond as focal point of this design keeping it integrated into and forming discount/price tag. Naturally diamonds are quite angular so I followed this premise and integrated network/sharing/community sort of look keeping that crystal reflecting, facet, tesselation effect trough whole tag instead of having it only on diamond jewel. It gives nice dimension to the symbol so it doesnt look flat but instead stand from the background. I used Red-Pink-Coral combination of colors to evoke passion, sensitivity, desire and Purple tones to bring some elegance, extravagance and Independence and to tie symbol closely to target audience. All in all great cooperation with my client and awesome end result on which both of us are proud.

IONA is the Latinised word for Jonah, the Biblical prophet. The client makes jewelry, which means the mark has to be clean and simple, to work as a metal stamp. Taking the story of Jonah as inspiration, I created a simple fish design, encompassed within a circle. The downward direction of the fish echoes Jonah's leap of faith into the ocean amid the storm he encounters on his way to Tarshish, while the addition of a cutaway shadow allows the fish to also function as an eye, to give a mythical feel and to represent the omnipresence of God. Mysterious and slightly foreboding, I like the tension between first sight and first feeling and what follows, when it becomes apparent what the mark is: a fish — one of the most harmless of all creatures The typography is customised to add a curve to the bar of the A, to reinforce reference to the ocean — the backdrop and site of the drama of the Book of Jonah.
