I used my own article header rather than the author's as I wanted this illustration for my portfolio and it would have been bad form to use their title if I'd not won. Depicts: a map of the old world with ancestral humans moving in migratory groups. The article is about gut microbes and what they can tell us about human migrations, and the environments they encountered that affected their diets. I've tried to keep it artsy yet informative, with arrows pointing in the direction actual populations moved.
