What our customers say
-
“When you hire one designer you're stuck with their aesthetic and their concept. With 99designs, you get ideas from many different people.” – view case study
Case Study: Big Feet Pajama Company
Big Feet Pajama Company is a global manufacturer of children's footy sleepwear, men's footed sleepwear and women's footie sleepwear. It has enjoyed great success - Big Feet Pajamas have been featured in hundreds of newspapers, magazines, movies, national commercials and television shows; and have been enjoyed by thousands upon thousands of people including Bill and Hillary Clinton.
To build on its success, Big Feet Pajama Company decided to get a fresh look and redesign its logo in 2009. Founder and CEO Valerie Johnson has a lot of experience working with designers so she knew the importance of getting input from many different designers:
“When you hire one designer, either in-house or on a project basis, you only get their design aesthetic and are really stuck with their concept or vision.”
Valerie launched a logo design project at 99designs.com allowing Big Feet Pajama Company to tap a community of designers and greatly increase the diversity of creative input on the project.
“With the help of 99designs – you get ideas from so many different people. So what you may have had in your head as far as the concept, you might scrap once you see someone else’s vision.”

“We have a designer, but he can’t do everything himself. [With 99designs] we got ten times the results for a fraction of the cost.” – view case study
Case Study: Retweet.com
Retweet.com is used to discover real-time news on popular stories, images, and videos. It identifies and categorizes content by scanning thousands of updates on twitter as well as with the help of its users who have added a “retweet button” to their blogs.
The word “retweet” has become one of the most popular terms online - making the retweet.com brand name very powerful. The creators of retweet.com, Mesiab Labs, needed a strong logo design to help capitalize on the brand name and win market share in the burgeoning real-time news space.
“We have an in-house designer, but we have so many projects he couldn’t do them all himself. It’s just so hard to find a designer and even when you do – you might get a design you like or there might be something that’s just not quite right.”
Tyson had heard about 99designs.com through a friend and decided to run a logo design project to create the retweet.com logo.
“We got ten times the results for a fraction of the cost. That was a clear indicator that this is a great way to get design work done.”
