Rebranding of the KYZR brand that manufactures carbon wheels which are designed and hand built in Germany. The starting point of this concept was to suggest the idea of a wheel combined with idea of movement and strength. The logo mark subtly suggests the initial "K", but this was not the main purpose. The idea behind the abstract "K" and aesthetics of all the shapes and lines is to suggest quality and great attention to details. The strongly rounded corners stands for the strength which their wheels are known and designed for. The word mark is fully custom and many elements were customized to follow the the values- quality, craftsmanship, best performance, racing (movement). The angle used for the wordmark coveys dynamics and the branding is consistent as well- having roots in the old design.

This logo was created from sketches. The logo contained a hidden figure of a baby kangaroo in the cargo box in negative space. The baby's position was opposite to the bigger one, as if her mother was hugging it. It represents the safety of the products. The geometric outline shape symbolizes simplicity, but still prioritizes aesthetics and balance in design. It also works as a side decal for the products.

I came up with this idea, because I travel to my regular job (24km) by bicycle and I find that is very good, stress free therapy. So, brainstorming looks like this: 1. stress free = bicycle 2. divorce, in my opinion, means that two persons heading in two opposite directions 3. divorce had to be done by two of them = that is why is only one bicycle, but a strange bicycle for two :) Also, my idea was to create the feeling that life is going on. Sad but romantic.

Logo Design for a Gravel Event in West Australia

Brief: The client needed a logo design for a gravel cycling event named “Bike it to Ballidu Gravel”. They wanted the logo to be bold and to have a classic touch, yet playful. My Approach: I used a classic typeface and made it right in the face to make the logo look bold. I also incorporated a colorful illustration of a road and mountains to make it playful. The Result: The client liked this initial design but wanted some changes to the illustration. He wanted a gravel and rusty road, rolling hills, and canola fields since the event was based around Ballidu and Wongan Hills in Western Australia. This area is famous for growing wheat and canola. So, I happily changed the illustration as per the client’s descriptions. The result was an instant YES from him. He was very happy with the result.
