This design MOST DEFINITELY needs to win!! First of all, it has such a beautiful & an AMAZING art graphic! (VERY NICE) and most of all, the design simply shows something 'slipping away' from the 'fingers' (which is a butterfly) which goes perfectly well with the album title. So, this design SURELY NEEDS to win! :) PLEASE VOTE FOR THIS DESIGN EVERYONE!!!
My thoughts were expressed via Facebook previously. (Thanks for the reply you gave, Brian.)
type breaks the image and throws off the balance. The white logo and the white bird thing breaks the balance and composition. The eye flow does not read properly. Could work if they rework this a bit.
I really like the design of this cover. The simplicity of the design is beautiful, and it seems to invoke a sense of something wonderful, precious and fleeting being either let go or escaping. Considering the title is "A Slip of the Finger," this cover art visually captures that title most effectively.
I like the image, but the font leaves a lot to be desired.
Shows an abstract form of the title of the album, really nicely styled
I think this very much suits the title and does very much coincide with your other covers. It feels right..... Keep up the great work.
design is suitable for the main track of the album...
I love this one !!
A fantastic design, evokes a feeling of wonder.
Typical CT cover, beautiful.
It is so good but there is one question that such a heavy rain, butterfly cannot fly.My suggestion is to put a Robin bird instead of butterfly.;
Best!
I'm not keen on this, reminds me of early Nettwerk or ADD covers.
CT takin“ it a step forward!
very cool - most relevant to the title. Would maybe change the font of the title or even ditch it off the art altogether - all vague and rad style.
The most aesthetically pleasing design by far.
made for you! love your music
Seems to fit the title, not really the lyrics
Lovely, although I think "a slip of the finger" would run better in the bottom right corner underneath the hand to get the full effect of the hand.
This one's pretty cool, too. Maybe if there was a hint of color on the wings, it'd edge out over 38.
This is perfect because of:
- Feeling of movement.
- Butterfly as metaphor for losing something beautiful.
- Hand positioning.
- Fits with the look of recent covers.
The image partners with the title and makes a more complete package.
I like this though it looks slightly cliche with a butterfly and tattoo.
This one and #21 are my favorites!!!
Looks cool but to obvious for the title of your album
elegant strong design. good composition.
I like the butterfly and fingers are seen here.
I actually really like this one, but it wouldn't really work unless this album happens to be full if Irish folk tune covers or English Renaissance songs played on a virginal.
Creative but similar to previous Color Theory covers.
I think this is the best choice. It represents betther the Brian's music :)
Probably my second favourite one.
Fits perfectly to the series of beautiful cover arts from the past
Hi Brian,
This one is the one I like best. They are all very good!
Really like the layout, but that font looks gross here.
beautiful.
Your logo is easily recognized, but maybe use a bigger font for the title... hard to read a bit..
I believe that graphic design is the best and captures the atmosphere of your music. Released from the provisions of subparagraph butterfly promises something extraordinary, something mysterious.
Slightly religous/new agey. Don't like the title font or placement. Other than that, this actually fits the song/lyrics the best, I think.
Most evocative visually, and very appropriate to the title.
A bit of a 'spiritual' image. I like it. Torn between this and #55
second favorite
Excellent illustration, love the imagery and imagination.
The imagery really fits the title...
The best and the most proper for this album :)
This has elements that incorporate the title, as well as having a positive feel of being free, soaring and going higher. My choice.
It gets my attention
this makes the most sense visually to me. clear branding.
Top one.
this one makes the most sense, it looks like a butterfly slipped away
Out of the four this one has the combo effect of making me first think of what the moth/butterfly symbolizes. Then it makes me ponder the small flutter of wonder & hope in the things we set free, whether it was good or BAD!
This one is so beautiful
go free
this one first
i like this one,it's just my feeling
The hand is almost in color, sort of sepia
NIN inch nails might want to borrow this?
According to me,this is the most suitable for a CD,as it is designed "closer" to the previous ones of yours
It feels like the title and fits well.
This is the one

probably the best of the lot, again the logo its just a slap in the face and takes up too much room, and hard to read. Squint, and it throws the balance way off. Again not really sure about the imagery. Its just a landscape. All of these to me are images with some type slapped on. Maybe because the time/money involved for the designer trying to keep it cost effective.
I like it, even if I don't understand why. Not the most thought-provoking, beyond "I don't see anything wrong," but that might just be me?
You would expect at least something with a person or body part with this title. It seems unrelated although the artwork is nice.
Love the atmosphere this seems to generate.
The bleakness of this cover really appeals to me for some reason.
Amazing, must be a digipack.
This is cool but I don't see the relevance to the song.
A truly CT feal to it!
cool, but doesn't seems to match the title at all.
Second best overall design.
Kind of boring
Plain. Very very plain.
I think this would be a good cover for a different title.
Too generic.
This one and #88 are my favorites!!!
Too much like 1930s dustbowl aftermath
Very artistic and radiant. Bold black and white looks cool.
pretty nice
can never go wrong with a landscape but does not have that color theory feel for me like the others do
Tied for second.
Pretty, but a little generic.
I don't know how this ties into the title, but I like the feeling of the image.
Like the B&W design. Maybe move the title to lower half of the cover, with a white font over the black field, also a bigger font.
Cool, stylish, but slightly non-descriptive and generic.
Nice. Like the edge burn. But maybe a little cliche, fields & all.
My favorite of the last four
Speaks volumes! Too many to mention. My other choice.
This was almost my first choice, because of the Black and White image contrasting with the name Color Theory. Close call.
Boring
yep I like this one,
I love that one.
Too vague for this song tittle
this is too placid and not evocative enough.
Just seems a little to bland
gray
this one third
Nice picture but doesnt grab as much.
Pretty, but very grey, safe and boring.
Very nice - reminds me of Robert Cook paintings.
I really like this design. The juxtaposition (sp?) of the name of the group on a black and white background is interesting.

Unfortunately, looks a bit too much like a person sitting on a toilet when image is reduced to near thumbnail size.
This one does the best job of reducing the impact of the logo. Usage of a free font though = Not good. needs more fitting type. I dont get the imagery though- so not CT.
Inconsistent shading.........
It does not connect to the title so well, although the artwork is nice
Not sure why, but don't really connect with this cover, not my cup of tea.
Dark & gloomy.
Looks pretty cheesy to me.
Beautifuly, artistic approach! The way to go?!
nice. emotive.
Too cliche, sad thinking man.
Best fit for the lyrics
I like the colours and mood.
Reminds me of "The Thinker". Not digging how your logo seems to get lost in the background.
Having a figurine versus a drawing is disconcerting. The figure's expression is melodramatic.
Eh, a little too brooding.
This one is very very cool, but after looking at all four many many times, I've decided that this one gets second place.
Reminiscent of "The Thinker"
Looks depressing
too emo
this one is nice but makes me feel that the songs are sad or gloomy all the art is fine.
I like it but it puts me in mind of the Corpse Bride for some reason. ;)
Hands down my favourite - but not sure aside from the first line of the song, it works for this song.
This is the one that caught my eye first.
Too melodramatic.
I'm not a fan of the font choice, though I like the imagery.
Nice visually, but maybe too much symbolizing a state of depression or isolation.
Cool. A different take on the thinking man. Torn between this and #88. But I think I would go with this one.
I don't like it
Nice, but looks rather familiar to an Asimov book cover.
I like the picture, but it doesn't quite connect to the song
I like this one...but see too much of thought provoking title...
Great artwork, however, it feels dark and dreary. To me it reads, "I messed up and I'm down about it".
Second choice.
this is the best compositionally but the band name is not clear enough.
This one says it all IMO.
Depending on how the song sounds, you may want to use lots of color or not.
This has the most character, most unique design, and is easy on the eyes.
thinker
this one second
I like this but it is a little dark for Color Theory.
Not at all.
This is my fave by far :) It shows just how deep one can become into your music.

Not consistent with your image
Idea is Ok but way this design in drawn suggests "abuse" too much.
this image does not read well at all, not a fan of the pubic hair either. Logo is intrusive and breaks up what should be some nice negative space. Free fonts used = No No. Student work.
Nice and graphic. It seems like it would go well with your previous covers, though I'm not sure that the content is relevant. Not a big deal, though, really.
Would have been really appropriate for the title 'a slip of the tongue'
the design is colourful to see and in meaning....
This one is the best
A nice colourful design, however the title name seems a little out of place almost.
Put some colour in your CT. I like it. It's better than the thought chapter design.
Glad to see they fixed the font!
Nope!
a little too emo/rock looking. (but very cool, regardless)
The design appears too amateurish for a CT album cover.
I really like this one. Well cool!!!!!!
Doesnt work for me....
Colorful! Looks original, with a fresh feeling and honors the name of the artist.
Nice blast of color! Unexpected, but a welcome change and I am prone to prefer unexpected blasts!
While decent art-wise, I don't think this fits in with the music. It certainly doesn't convey feeling.
I very much like the image, but not sure it all pulls together well (that complete package thing).
Like the colors but that's about it.
This one is good, but the other three are much better!!!
I like the bit of color
Doesnt look like the style of albums past
like the colours but not the mouth being covered
nice colors but I don't where a finger slips here.
The best by far. It's striking, youthful and doesn't have to be over-thought. Maybe a little post-emo, but that's still okay.
I love the mixture of colour and pen & ink.
This is my least favourite visually, but I think it fits the music best ....
Nope...
Kind of exciting! It looks like a new direction.
I really like this piece, but not for a color theory album. It just doesn't seem to fit to me.
Like the color and get a feel for the album...
Too comic booky.
Cool design but would prefer the realistic images.
I'm not really sure abouut this one
Excellent artwork! Tough choices. Still, no ropes, for me, bandages, ties, chains or shackles in any manner whatsoever. Sorry, don't mean to be so dramatic.
Like the colors, but it's rather simplistic.
Not sure I see a connection between the cover and title...
i like the style of this but it doesn't match the aesthetic of the brand.
I really like this artwork its similar to your other album art but new and vibriant, it catches the eye easier than the others.
no comment
this one fourth
Nice use of color and bold lines.
this just works really well. I like the way the album title and the band name sit. It flows and has an angsty cool artist feel? Your last album cover was amazing. I was jealous. t.b.a.
Striking, eye-catching, even as a thumbnail
In keeping with your image
