Terra Savant Logo

TerraSavant is an agrotech consultants specializing in soils and also carbon sequestration knowledge and GHG's tied to large-scale farming. The name 'savant' conjures up a brand that has great knowledge and understanding. Along with their specialist know how regarding farmable land, I felt the logo needed to work with these two 'ideas'. My initial design proposal was icon-based, an educated bearded and monocled academic, with striped farmland crops doubling as the hair and beard strands. This revised design aims for a more abstract, reductive rendering of the monocled savant character, for a classy and sophisticated brand positioning as professional consultants. But one that is accessible and balances the organic nature of agriculture, with the technological specialism of TerraSavant's know how in the field of agricultural land. This logo was to be the female counterpart of the already existing male logo. The male logo had a skull holding a dumbell in its teeth. I wanted to use a skull in the logo so that both the logos look like they belong together yet look distinctly different and feminine at the same time. I thought of using a cat's skull since a cat is a creature that signifies beauty and femininity. Also it would make the logo stand out. I have added ears to the skull and used roses on the head to make it look more feminine.

The design challenge was to create a logo for a YouTuber family called "Dirt Roads and Donuts." They wanted something earthy but modern, and the logo design needed to capture the ups and downs of everyday life. The design solution is clean, bold, and natural. A circular logo design was chosen to capture the circle of life and the shape of a donut. An organic, flowing line breaks up the border and invites the viewer onto the "dirt road" of life. The colors are natural yet bright enough to be eye-catching in a competitive, online environment such as YouTube. The logo provides interest and attraction for the viewer to come and learn more about this unique, online brand.
