CCG Foundation

The design was created for a charitable foundation that incorporates initials CCG (Courtney Craig Gilbert) and his love of music. It is founded in memory a 38 year old young man that suffered from alcoholism that resulted in him becoming a type 1 diabetic. He was misdiagnosed with type 2 and ultimately went into Diabetic Ketoacidosis and died from a brain aneurysm and heart attack. The foundation is being created by his multitude of friends and family who are working to have this foundation help others in need of rehabilitation. I really need to share the words of his family: "He was kind, loving and so dedicated to family and friends. The only "wrong" thing was his inability to stop drinking alcohol. Just like his grandfather, my father, he would die at a young age. Court lived life to the fullest traveling the world, never married or had a family. I think he always knew he would not live a long life, but it certainly was fulfilled while he was here with us. "

Good Samaritan Logo - Ecommerce and Charity

From the good samaritans parable, I draw a samaritans (travelers) who is traveling on foot with the donkey by his side. Which then in the parable he will meet the injured jew man. I want to symbolized this character as a person who is generous and could save others people lives through the sites. They can interaction with the “injured man” and help them through this website. I don’t literally draw the interaction between the samaritan and the jew because that will be too biblish and too detailed. Under the “Shopper” I put an hidden icon, its an abstract open hand icon. This open hand could represent charity, trust and caring. Im using a modern upper case font as the main text in the logo. And I put the sub text under the badge, following the curve path of the badge.

This design is a combination of three different concepts: the world, wifi, and a light bulb. While thinking of ways to combine a light bulb and the Earth, I've thought of the concept of "lighting up the world" and probably one of the better ways to show it is to illustrate it literally. The contrast of yellow shows brightness while the blues helps convey the earthy feel. The use of the world also gives an instant recognition that the company is global.

So the concept I based the design on was simple - the child is "saved" through music.
