Author needed maps which would show readers locations found in his novels. Had to be in a modern clean style, uncluttered and easily read both in colour (for print) and grayscale (for some e-books). I chose to omit many minor roads and only label a small number of major ones. Several data sources were used as rough reference for the map (Google Maps, Open Earth Data, Ordinance GIS data, NASA satellite imagery) - care was taken so that points and lines would not match the reference material, providing a unique map that was still accurate. I won this contest but the winning entry was in grayscale for use with a Kindle - this preview is in color, which looks better in my portfolio.

Tina approached me requesting a thick line art scenery logo, influenced by my previous work that she saw in my portfolio. After looking at some pictures of Davos I started working on the scenery piece which includes a lake, houses, forests and of course mountains and skis and a snow board. We got a great result in the end.

This is a personal project. His parents are moving, and he would like a few of his drawings to be turned into watercolor-style artwork so they can be printed and framed to hang in their new house. These drawings are of the house where he and his sister grew up. He is not strict or set on any particular look or style at the moment. The goal is simply to give them something to remember their longest-lived-in home by. He wants to end up with two drawings: one of the front of the house and one of the library inside.
