Very proud to participate in this contest for a book on Thomas á Kempis masterpiece. I used a medieval manuscript copy of the book provided by the author as a backdrop to a beautiful illuminated cross. In the back of the cover an image of Thomas á Kempis also treated to match the tone of the book.

Initially, I assumed the process would be simple since the focus was solely on imagery, it seemed that only minimal effort and skills were required, just typing a description and generating an image. However, the reality proved to be more complex. The process began with translating the client’s vision and defining the exact type of image they wanted. Although the client appreciated the first AI-generated result, there were numerous details that required adjustments. This introduced several challenges, such as inconsistent character rendering and the loss of certain elements during revisions. Through multiple iterations, combining refined AI prompts with manual adjustments in Photoshop, the final design was successfully aligned with the client’s expectations.
