I wanted to find an image that really reflected and represented the main character. This is bright, vibrant; artsy with the whole watercolor portrait, but there is a bit of sadness represented by the closed eyes, the watercolor drips, and so on. The typeface is very YA; informal, handwritten. The background in this version is a bright yellow that won't be missed on a bookshelf. After holding a contest and not being happy with what he ended up with, the author requested my complete author's pack; book cover, interior, and editing. I read his book and then created a new cover that enhanced and illuminated his story. Alex's dog Johnny was a significant portion of the story, and a lot of the action took place in a moody wood. I love being able to provide this service; reading the story helps SO MUCH to figure out WHAT details will be significant to the author, and it is an option not generally available for contests!

One of the most evil spirit recognized on the island is the Rolling Calf…. The rolling calf is said to be a spirit of a dead person who, during their life time was a wicked or a dishonest person. After this dishonest person dies he is said to resurrect and take the form of an animal that roams at night, seeking out its next victims. Rolling calf is known to have blood red eyes , a cracking chain that drags behind them while walking and fire and smoke coming from their nostril.
