It is ran by a US Coast Guard veteran with a deep connection to the ocean who was looking for a weird, fun and rugged logo design for the business that stands out against the sea :) of stereotypical anchor and helm designs. A set of appropriate concepts had been presented. The chosen final design features a wrench (symbol for technician) riding a simplified boat engine rodeo-style. A captain's hat is flying off in the turmoil and waves clash below (nautical theme). Letter L (brand initial) is incorporated in multiple instances. The design received a distressed texture treatment for a rugged effect. 2023, 1-to-1 project.

The design incorporates a subtle hint to Da Vinci's "Vitruvian Man", the main element of the brand's previous logo, and features an abstract person with spread arms in negative space and a set of three gears. The person refers to the patient, the "body". The gears allude to "mechanic" with the different size of teeth representing fine-, mid- and broad-scale therapy approaches. The client is looking for a logo for their badass premium domain mecanici.be. They are building a badass platform; an Airbnb-style marketplace for car repairs, a Glovo meets car trouble, or like Uber but for your engine light. I have three things in mind while brainstorming ideas for the concept: a mechanic, a wrench, and a car.
