The name knappenstuben is the mix of -knappe- that means -miner- and -stuben- that means -parlor-.
So the knappenstuben is the place where the miners met eachother after work.
By this logo I wanted to convey warmth, light and mystery, to create a feeling that the old window leads to a small, warm and cosy place/room.
I created a hand drawn illustration of the miners lamp, standing in the window lit with light.")
