Somerville87 picked a winning design in their print & packaging design contest
For just $407, they received 185 designs from 40 designers.
My very first project on 99designs totally exceeded my expectations. I found the designers polite, prompt and 99designs customer service team second to none. I continue to use and would highly recommend! — Somerville87

Nice Flyers!!!!!!
It's color combination I like most.
Thanks for sharing
** NOTE TO CLARIFY **
The A5 flyer must have on 1 side:
"New Club
New Experience"
plus very prominent contact details
And on the second side:
"Secret Club Launch Party" as in the poster design, again with prominent contact details.
I gave abner good direction in this respect, so look at #79 for guidance.
*IMPORTANT NOTE*
All designs must have an A5 flyer variant like like #79 of #83.
It must have:
"New Club
"New Experience"
with
"For your invitation:" above the contact details
#135 and #79 now in the lead as long as I get double sided A6 variants
Ztorm, yes, pre-press is a tough job and I honor your skills. My point is only that someone can't look at the screen here and accurately predict that a particular design will print poorly. Every designer should stand by their work and be willing to communicate with the client, printer and/or webmaster as needed, and the CH should be able to select the design they like best. Cheers, respect, and good luck to all.
Cornelius, Actually it DOES MATTER for designers to ask questions about printing. As a matter of fact, those are the KEY to printing best designs. Why did I say that? Cuz I am the person fixing all the "brilliant designs" from designers for the press. And I can't say more to designers to THINK about how to print their designs while designing them :) I give it a 5 stars to any designers who take these into consideration right off the bat.
Yes, I can make anything print, literally. The question is, how close do they look on print as they were intended to?
I may come up with something in 19 hours. If you don't see my draft, good luck to all :)
If you can design it they can print it. Period. Doesn't anyone read magazines anymore, or even look at movie posters? Printing dark images is nothing new. National Geographic has been doing it longer than most of us have been alive. What about deep sea photography and Hubble Telescope images? Plus, those of you with entries in this contest, your negative comments do not appear helpful. It just looks like you are trying to bring down the competition. The CH can consult their printer if they have any questions (a simple matter of sending an email attachment or asking pre-press to view a link to the image). This matter should require no further input from any of us unless the CH asks for our advice.
So I feel the solution to that would be to put a stroke on the text or change the color other wise its going to get lost and blend into the background image the poster is to catch the eye of the viewer and looking at a pink poster people will have to look twice to read the text people are going to pass the poster by after glancing at it and with a glance they get no info off it good luck it is a good design concept
that design is going to look bad when printed.#83
Trust me , #46 and #16 will look awful when going to print.
;D @dadodesign...
sound's like worried you are...
i'm experience in printing, and i think those kind a graphic's absolutely possible be great in printing. abner just need to spend attentions in colors principal in printing...and that is made when doing layers in the software he did... wish you all luck guyz/....
yeah, up to now good design from him! but i'm not sure that when the flyer is printed, there will be the same effects that appear on screen...
#83 Is top dog so far.
Looking for that dark, sexy and mysterious look.
The contest holder has guaranteed to award the $320 prize!
