The Royal Standard

The Royal Standard is a 1920's inspired cocktail lounge (Speakeasy) offering it's clients a menu of well designed artisan craft cocktails. The name "The Royal Standard" is inspired by the Royal Standard poodle of the the owner of this speakeasy. I opted for the poodle holding, not a scepter, but a cocktail spoon as a royal attribute. The typography, personalized, includes a cocktail glass and can be used alone.

The Downtown Hotel in historic Dawson City, Yukon is home to the world famous Sourtoe Cocktail. Nearly 100,000 people have done the Sourtoe Cocktail...where the Toe Captain drops a mummified human toe into a shot of whisky (in a rock glass) and the customer drinks the shot and once the Toe touches their lips, they have officially joined the club and get a certificate. The expression is: "You can drink it fast, you can drink it slow, but your lips must touch the Toe". The Toe is approaching its 50th anniversary in 2023 and is a World Famous tourist attraction , generating worldwide media attention and attracting tourists to Dawson City who want a unique, edgy experience and an instagram worthy story!

The name TippleSmiths comes from: Tipple which is a whimsical term meaning a drink or to have a drink (tip·pled, tip·pling. - to drink intoxicating liquor, especially habitually or to some excess. to drink (intoxicating liquor), especially repeatedly, in small quantities. noun - intoxicating liquor. Smith, referring to a creator (coming from goldsmith/blacksmith where someone would forge things with an anvil and a hammer) There is an acronym I am using when describing our drinks and ethos which is F.U.S.S. this stands for Fresh, Unique, Seasonal & Sustainable. F.U.S.S. doesn't necessarily have to feature in the logo but it gives you an idea of how my creative process is applied to coming up with drinks. Company values: Amazing delicious modern drinks made with sustainability in mind, friendly personal service, incredible hospitality, creative and inspiring.
