Primal rabbit for a publishing company

This was somewhat whimsical. The publisher deals with historical as well as contemporary fiction, and my mind jumped back around 200,000 years. I was thinking about the primary motion shapes of a rabbit, and arrived to this, which reflects a kind of aesthetic one might have seen in cave paintings. The client went in a different direction, but I like this aesthetic and wish I could experience the kind of visual outlook that represented reality, at the dawn of the age of man, in this manner.

I have created a logo for ‘Vidushi’ that depicts a book that gradually transforms into a blooming lotus at the top. The center forms a ‘V’ from within the book/lotus. The bold serif typeface has been used so it is visible even at smaller sizes when printed on the back and side of a book cover.
