Looking for a contemporary logo design that plays off the company name.

Logo submission for a New York based company that makes mead. The contest holder wanted something to set it apart from the usual bee related logos and also to draw attention to the idea that mead is a little like the forgotten child in the alcohol industry ie: Middle Child. The middle child is represented by the statue of liberty (a bee with hopps as her head, beehive as the flame and the mead as the tablet), whilst the empire state and flatiron buildings (beehives themselves), serve as the other siblings.

For REPLACE, the idea was pretty literal, letters getting swapped out, like they’re moving on a conveyor belt. The clean, bold typeface gives it a modern, confident base, then the replaced parts break that rhythm just enough to make you look twice. It’s simple but playful, and it perfectly reflects the concept of offering a new, better option in place of the old, starting with alcohol replacement mints. The design holds up on its own for the mints but is flexible enough to stretch into future products like gummies or seltzers without losing its personality. Strong, adaptable, and instantly tied to the brand’s name and mission.
