I fell in LOVE with this image because the window reminds me of a thousand amazing cathedrals and churches... grand, yet somehow lonely, but somehow encouraging. The candle is small, but prominent. The differences between the cool tones of the window and the warm tones of the candle and subtitle are pronounced. The font for the word "Catholic" reminds one of gothic fonts you'd find used in Bibles from hundreds of years ago; yet there are no religious icons or relics displayed to scare away the "spiritual but not religious" reader.

Mysterious and scenic romance book cover

This cover was created for a romance novel exploring themes of love, loss, and emotional depth, aimed at a young adult audience. In line with the client’s brief, I designed a mysterious, atmospheric composition. A line art illustration represents a close-up of the couple’s faces as they stand on a beach beneath palm trees, bathed in moonlight, enhancing emotional intimacy without overpowering the overall scene. The glowing moon reflects softly on the rippling ocean, while a single blue rose is subtly integrated into the right side of the scene, symbolizing remembrance and delicate emotion. The color palette leans into deep blues and shadowy tones, with accents of yellow to evoke a moody yet romantic atmosphere. Typography follows a contrasting style: the title appears in bold, uppercase serif, reminiscent of engraved stone, while the subtitle is styled in delicate, lowercase italics, quiet and poetic.

Candygirl is a high-end lingerie store selling a range of designers and adult products, selling to middle aged men and women with money and who want class. A sophisticated font as the logo. Dark and moody.

This dark fantasy romance demanded a richly atmospheric and seductive visual. I designed the cover to capture the haunting beauty of Southern Gothic, where passion, power, and danger intertwine beneath a looming blood moon. At the center stands the female protagonist, marked by glowing veins and violet eyes. The background blends crypts, moss-draped gates, and magic-infused ruins, while the blood moon casts an ominous glow across the landscape. A glowing sigil on her chest hints at ancient power stirring beneath the surface. The typography follows a gothic style, chosen to harmonize with the tone and atmosphere of the story. The result is a visual narrative that reflects the novel’s core themes, dark desire, hidden power, and a heroine who stands at the heart of it all: unforgettable and unbroken.
