Archangel is a YA dystopian novel set in Chicago and Detroit about 200 years in the future. It is a world of enormous technical and material inequality. The ruling are well educated and have electric-powered vehicles, the ruled have horses and carts and cannot read. The great human cities, like Chicago and Detroit, are largely ruins. Many of the tower blocks have no external walls or electricity but people live in them anyway. CH wanted the cover to be designed around a symbol, as in The Hunger Games, or Divergent, or Legend. The symbol should be Triskele.

Drove into town after a long day of driving with boxes, furniture, essentials, etc. What they're leaving behind could be an ex wife or ex-husband, an ex-life, a poor reflection of themselves that they don't want to see anymore. They tossed it out when they left town. So it's sunset and they are driving into town, tired, exhausted, but excited. Excited for new adventure, a new journey, a new life. Excited for a change, a new beginning. They see the Dallas skyline in through their windshield (what you have on your design), and a warm, inviting sunset glow behind it. The sun is a reflection of a new beginning, a new life, a clean slate. They keep driving. They’ve arrived.
