I’m not sure how ships could be incorporated. They don’t have to be if they get in the way. In any case, my tentative idea on this comes from the picture “Sun on Waters”. A white stone would be at the horizon with its smoke going upwards with clouds obscuring some of it. A black stone would meet with the white one at the horizon with its smoke going “down” with waves obscuring it. This brings both the white and the black together in a sort of “coexistence” but also “clashing” way that is fitting for the climax of the last book in a trilogy.")
