Thank you once again for all your submissions. I’m really excited because I feel that the designs are starting to get closer to what I need. The funny thing is that I’m starting to see things that I really want in several of the designs so I thought I would send out a global comment and reference what I like the most while referring some of my favorite designs so far.

When it comes to LAYOUT only, as well as the way everything is spaced, my favorite so far is # 40. I’m referring here to the way things are laid out on the page, which is critical for me. All the text is clear, visible and well proportioned to its importance. I don’t like however, the color schemes or the photo of the woman. The truth is that I’m having a hard time with all of the photos of women chosen so far. Most of the images are going much more of a romantic path rather than women empowerment. I’ll be doing some research in order to find some images that I think will be appropriate.

When it comes to the title, again I liked how #40 is positioned but the font I prefer the fonts used for the title on #4 and #22.
The call to action (registering for the event) also needs to be prominent, I liked what #39 did, with a kind of balloon saying Early Bird Special #395*, the asterisk is perfect and I loved how at the bottom are the details: by 30th, 2012 – Use code “EarlyBird” when you register. I REALLY liked that concept but I would like something a little prettier that would still make the design beautiful and would not take anything away from it.

I loved how #23 had a different font and color for Limited Seating, that’s also very important information. I can’t emphasized enough how the call to action is important and I need to see an improvement on that from all of them, but I don’t want them to be too much in your face either. That’s why I sent the note yesterday about varying the fonts, colors and sizes.

I might have given too much information with regards to the call to action as well, so just focus on the following: the early bird special balloon as I mentioned above, then somewhere saying how’s there’s limited seating, if there’s enough room you can also say something like Register Early & Save, and lastly say the following: Register Today By Going To http://www.EmpoweringTheFeminineSoul.com.

Please make sure you have my picture right next to a picture of my book. I prefer the picture of my book to be in 3D like #17 did. But the layout, I like how # 23 has both pictures but my picture doesn’t have to be as big and the book in 3D. Also, there’s no need to add the subtitle of the book. Please say the following: With Vanessa Halloum, author of The Feminine Power Virtues. I also loved the way #23 changed the color and font for my name so it looks different.

Hello designers, thank you for all the ideas. There are some great concepts that I am happy with but the one thing that I feel is missing from all of the designs is making the fonts stand out. I need the flier to eye-catching (which you're doing a good job at) but I also need to information on the flier to be easy to read and not be lost in the flier. What I like is how the colors and font size change to highlight important information. I think that would make a huge difference.

Also, I'm going to review the text and see what I can remove so we can have more blank space.
