I am sorry if I offended anyone - that was not the purpose. I received a few comments from designers trying to get a reaction (unfortunately they weren't being polite). I have always attempted to be polite, but as much as I am being flooded by designs it takes a lot of effort and time to review designs of merit and provide constructive feedback.

It is frustrating when designers don't read the brief or the feedback provided, because it gets pushed off the front page (I wish there was some way to have sticky comments).

I have been extremely constructive and positive to designers who have put some effort into their submissions (or at least I should say appear to from where I sit).

With respect to the guarantee - I will award the prize if I am happy that I am going to use the design as my logo. I have every intention to do so, but if I don't get the right concepts/revisions I am not going to pay out just because the music stops. I have not intention of cheating any designers I promise that.

If I have not awarded a winner by the end of the contest I will open up a private contest with the 'finalists' and then work to the final concept. BUT I HOPE I DON'T NEED TO DO THAT :-) Currently I have asked for revisions from a couple of designers which may receive the winning prize.

Finalists are those designers that are still in the competition.

Finally - with the MC Escher concept, I have abandoned that idea, because it is clear that designers don't understand the idea (which was not to copy Night & Day btw.) or it is too technically difficult/requires too much time. All of a sudden I did get a lot of designs involving birds! (btw. I applaud the couple of designers who made a genuine effort on the Escher idea).
