I am unable to contact you via PM or E-mail because your profile has these options disabled. Please contact me so we can arrange for your prize money. For security reasons, please contact me through Sitepoint so that I can verify it is you.
Thanks!
Congratulations to the following winners:
1st prize and $300 - rofie #5
2nd prize and $100 - sigode #3
Thank you to all of the entrants for their time and entries.
We need vector or such a high resolution of raster image that the logo can be printed out at 3 foot high and have no rastery grainy/pixely look.
can psd file with vector shapes in large size in 300 dpi acceptable instead of ai vector files?
Apparently Sitepoint has changed things up as I was unable to go into the settings and add the $100 second prize, so I am at least making a note here.
Ok I am caught up on feedback for the evening. It is less than 24 hours until contest end, however, if needed I can extend it a few more hours to allow for revisions if there are a few contenders at the end. This will be at our discretion.
Also, we are starting to see lots of variations to the logo. I do ask that you keep in mind the original goal of this logo and that is for a revision/update to an existing concept. The previous 2 logos had a similar concept, but with an updated look. We are going for that idea again.
Also, I am adding a $100 second prize to encourage some more entries.
Caught up on feedback.
Also, we are still looking for entries, so if an entry comes in towards the end of the contest, we may consider extending the contest to allow the designer to submit a revision.
I am caught up on feedback.
Also, I see several entries that we are interested in and am changing this contest to "Guaranteed Winner" to encourage these entrants to continue with revisions and to also encourage more entries from others.
Thanks
Ok - Caught up on feedback. Based on the entries so far, we are still looking for slightly more realistic and less abstract.
Regarding wire transfer for payment, as long as the fee is no more than $15, I will cover the complete wire fee. If it is over $15, I will ask the winner to split the cost with me.
Thanks!
Do you make bank wire transfer for payment. Fee for transfer is minor.
Caught up on feedback. A question I received by PM was if we were looking for a new perspective or an evolution. We are definitely looking for more of an evolution. We have many customers who are used to the tone of this logo and want to continue the tone, but with an updated look. Thanks!
Caught up on feedback. A note to add would be to refrain from having the teeth or smiling in the logo. It's a tough line to walk between friendly/warm/professional and appearing to target children. I will stay on top of things with the feedback so that everyone can get an idea of what we are looking for. Thanks again!
a) The oval shape creates a clean break to cut the animal off at the shoulders (so you don't have to have the full body), but I am open to your creativity
b) I am open to your creativity so long as the product name is included somewhere
Thanks and good luck!
I'm working on something for this one. Just question though, would you be ok with a) moving away from that oval-shaped form factor for the logo? and b) does the name "Longhorn Max" have to be within the logo? Or can it be next to it?
Thanks, I'll be with my pencil in hand if you need me :)
Some of the characteristics we like are warm, confident, strong, professional. We want to avoid the mean look (thats where we went wrong with our first logo) and we want to avoid a funny/not serious look. Our target market is between 40 and 60 years old. Thanks and good luck!
