So I need a cover art created that brings that story to life without revealing the results. We need the cover art to really match the video. Our music video is what will drive the attention to this song and we'd like to use images from the video for the cover art. I'd like the marketing of the cover art to match the theme of the video fairly close so that people easily identify how they go together.")

Joni Mitchell is known for using her own paintings and illustrative self-portraits as album art. It got me thinking what kind of clever smirkiness would relate to your target audience. I started rendering cover art in the style of vintage YA mystery/adventure novels. The digipak is perfect for this type of design since it opens like a book. I rendered 2 portraits as illustrative paintings and created a composite for the cover oval and cd label that was inspired by the songs/song titles. For the backgrounds, I used a paper texture then added some color for the covers and less saturation for the inside covers. I added slight grain as well as some cheap printed ink effects. I also created a logo for the publishing company (as most of these serials had at least one), and it added a little bit extra.")

Inspired by Kandinsky's color circle study, I created similar brush stroke circles but then cropped them off the bleed to mimic a visual symbol for the word echo. I used the earthy colors from Kandinsky's study as well.")
