The artwork would fit a fantasy story that incorporates a character with abilities like summoning darkness/shadow/a dark power with a magical object like a gem or crystal. Little changes can be made, like the floating crystal I placed above his hand that he does the summoning with.
While the black smoke, background and crystal are made using photos, the character is posed and lit in the 3D app, Daz3D. His pose and looks are easily adjusted which gives a lot of option also for a series of books.")

This book is about a nobleman, a murderer, and a girl from the past. I made several illustrations according to the themes in this book such as daggers, stars, masks, poison (smoke in clothes), a woman, and a double life. You can see the silhouette of a woman with a woman wearing a mask inside, she is the Midnight Maiden! I put it in a female silhouette (the big one) to represent Christina's double life.
You can also see a dagger there, this is the weapon it uses. There are also some twigs and crows to add to the killer atmosphere.
Then for the title style, I tried to make it look different from the others. I made this vertical. I want when people to see this book, they will be curious about the title. Then they would pick it up and turn the book over to read the title. It's kind of a trick.")
