These designs were for a series of two young adult fantasy style books that take place in different alternate dimensions. One of main differences is that in There, all the trees are dead.
I chose an Alice in Wonderland feel to show the differences in the two worlds.")

After I had designed the first book, the client handed over me to design the whole trilogy which was great and a huge responsibility. I had to follow the same layout but put time and effort on designing the main element for each of book.
The previous books it was a magical hammer and a dagger. And for this one, it's a mystical whip. I had to come up with the concept and create the weapon from scratch. The client was super helpful with the feedback and guided me on what she exactly wanted everything to look like.
This project was exciting and challenging and I enjoyed every bit of time working on it :)")

This time unlike the cooler color tones of the first book, had to give a warmer feeling to the reader. But at the same time preserve the design consistency of the series. David provided a bunch of his own stock images for me to work with, and was highly satisfied with the design I came up with, and together we perfected it by making minor changes.
