The main character would be walking into the forest and looking hesitantly over her shoulder. Collaborating on a design & brand strategy, we conceived the brand name before probing various cases. We settled on the brand name, \"Guano.\" Guano is a valuable delicacy commonly known as bat poop. An investment pool engineered to opportunities when investment securities fall Guano serves as a metaphor for what defines them;
\"Finding value in something where others see only crap!\".
The brand mark connotes the moment a bat drops a valuable asset and draws inspiration from jewellers. Through continual dialogue, we positioned the brand with an accessible, web3 Fintech positioning with a distinguishing futuristic color palette. The colors derive from the spectral tones of the sky at dusk—A time when bats come out to play and land their valuable assets, ready to be collected, nurtured, and monetized.")

Discussing and noticing dystopian sci fi influences in the owners personal film work, I wanted to try him out with an identity that bridges these sci fi influences with classic cinematic expressions. I merged ideas borrowed from Neo Tokyo, architectural Brutalism and Cyberpunk and split the RGB color channels for a unique look and feel that plays on tension between charming and dystopian anxieties.
The visual language of the typographic design and letterform drawing, using blocks and angles making it awkward, clunky and Brutalist but apparently floating and suspended like something from Bladerunner or Arrival.
We deemed it symbolises too much of the business owners personal tastes in film and story than one suitable for more corporate clients.
