About

I've been a graphic designer for 25+ years, I'm self-employed. I love art and creativity. I’ve also studied Interior Design and Fine Arts. Before starting my studio I worked as a designer in some of Australia’s most respected institutions including the Australian National Gallery and the Australian National University, as well as advertising agencies, private design studios, art galleries, and government agencies. I’m experienced in all areas of graphic design, but love really creative projects.

"I’m generally happy with the book cover, though it still needs some editing, but the process has been quite stressful and I’ll be looking for someone else to finish it off for me. There was a lot of resistance to making the small changes I asked for, w..."

"Thank you for your response Ellie. After the end of the competition you wanted to change everything about the style of the text (which was the main part of the design) and said you would like to see ‘a few more options’. Despite 99designs competition rules stating that “more involved revisions be charged at a reasonable price” I offered to provide you with text design alternatives for free, but politely made it clear that there was a limit to what I would provide free of charge. In the end I provided you with a total 9 alternatives, including a text design you had designed yourself, which you ultimately chose. I also initially provided you with an alternative cover size that matched Kindles ‘best practice’ as a second option, to ensure your cover design was the best it could be, as well as copyright advice. Before providing you with advice I contacted 99designs support to ensure my advice regarding what changes were included was correct, I even read out my email to them before I sent it to you. I am very happy with the level of professionalism I’ve shown, and believe the amount of changes I provided to you free of charge was above and beyond what was required. As I’ve already said to you in my message, good luck with your book."
