Description of the organization and its target audience
We are a self-help legal service company named Special Provisions. The term “special provisions” is the title of a paragraph in form contracts where the parties add additional (special) provisions (legal language) to their contracts. Our competitors include LegalZoom, Rocket Lawyer, etc.
We are starting in the real estate industry, specially in Texas. That said, we plan to move into other industries and states, so we would like to stay away from any designs that are industry specific.

We want a readable logo that is sophisticated but fun that will be liked by real estate agents. At the same time, we are legal in nature so we don't want cartoon like logos. We would like the font used for "Special Provisions" to also look good with just the letters "SP". Our business will be hosted on a website and an app, so we would like the logo to be able to be formatted to look good on those platforms in addition to written material such as letter heads, etc. We plan to trademark the logo, so PLEASE stay away from stock images and from copying other's logos.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
