Description of the organization and its target audience
People don't realize this, but rubber ducks have been partially responsible for sending people to the moon, bringing music to your ears with iPods, and staving off the worldwide crisis of Y2K. In the coding and development world, when hackers struggled with complex problems, they often turned to a rubber duck that they kept on their desk and explained the problem to the duck. This process of conversation and introspection often helped engineers solve the most complex of problems, all thanks to their rubber ducky buddy.

Rubber Duck Advisors is a group of specialists and entrepreneurs who has seen it all, and done it all. And they have the war wounds to show for it. They work with companies big and small to provide the most valuable service of all - they listen. Well, then they advise too.... but the listening is what really matters!
Rubber Duck Advisors is perfect for any company that is struggling with issues that they believe an outside perspective can solve. Our "Fresh Eyes" analysis will tackle the problem through SWOT analysis, secret shopping, interviews with customers and employees, and whatever other tactics are needed to get to the bottom of the problem.
-----
Consultants have a bad reputation for being stuffy, uptight, and difficult to work with. This logo should completely avoid all of those stereotypes by being playful and fun, yet professional. We plan to make fun of ourselves a little bit, so the logo can have some humor added to it. Having some sort of rubber duck like shape and figure is an absolute must, so please incorporate yellows and golds but would love to see a strong contrasting second or third color to make it pop. Heavy black strokes may be used on the duck or not - up to the designer.
**NOTE:** Have particular interest in seeing a design or style that looks like an old 8-bit/16-bit pixelated video game. We're all video gamers, so if anyone has ideas around this style, they are welcome!

Other notes
Please avoid the use of stock iconography or photography for the duck. Would prefer a custom design/sketch/art and if you take influence from other designs that's ok - but I don't want to do a reverse image search and find the duck in our logo is being sold on a stock photography site.
