Description of the organization and its target audience
This is for an academic molecular, cell, and developmental biology lab. We work with zebrafish behavior, brains, genes, small proteins, and gene regulation. This logo will be used as branding for the lab, and ideally will appeal to and be accessible to an international community.

This is not required though would be a nice touch. An artistic element that holds personal meaning would be to include 2 stars (5-point) and 1 moon (waning crescent) somewhat hidden/incorporated, as an ode to Uruguayan candombe.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
