Description of the organization and its target audience
The Kinetic Edge is a new kind of data center and cloud infrastructure that uses software and high-speed connectivity to combine multiple micro data center facilities into a single logical data center that spans an entire city.
Imagine taking a major US city like Chicago and drawing a ring through the population center. Along that ring we would space 5-7 data centers and connect them together with high-speed fiber. The end result is, essentially, a network of compute architecture built into the infrastructure of the city.

The Kinetic Edge is a product, not a company. Not sure that makes any difference to design, but offering that up. Also, ideally, the logo can stand apart from the actual words "Kinetic Edge".

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
