Description of the organization and its target audience
Private AI is "the privacy layer for software".
We sell software that identifies and redacts personally identifiable information (eg. names, credit card #s, emails, etc.) from unstructured data (ie. text, video, audio). Our tech can also replace that personal information with synthetic data to make the datasets ultra safe from breaches or leaks.
Ex:
Raw data: “Hello, I’m Jordan and my SIN is 305 395 2232”
Redacted data: “Hello, I’m [NAME] and my SIN is [SIN_NUMBER]”
Synthetic data: “Hello, I’m Pheobe and my SIN is 943 072 1027”
Using our tech our clients can comply with global privacy regulations like the GDPR, and safely unlock the full value of their data without compromising customer trust.
Our target audience are technical folks - developers, CTOs, machine learning engineers, data scientists, machine learning managers, product architects, CISOs, etc. We’re industry agnostic, but the majority of our clients are within the conversational AI/ASR, contact centre, healthcare, fintech, and insurance spaces.

Other notes
Our current website font is Space Grotesk which we’d like to keep. Our current web accent colour is #0080f3.
When creating a logo we’d like for it to have some clear smaller applications (ie. favicon, social). Our current logo is a long word mark, so when shrunk down to smaller formats you lose legibility and brand recognition.
Elements we currently play with in our branding:
Pie:
We sometimes use pie in our materials (playing off of Private AI’s acronym, PAI) and would be curious if that could be incorporated into a logo. However, we recognize this could be confusing and has nothing to do with data privacy. We do have pies incorporated into our pricing page (here: private-ai.com/pricing) with our lowest tier being one slice, medium tier being half a pie, and pro tier a full pie.
Disguised face (Groucho Marx) emoji:
We use this emoji as our current site’s favicon with mixed reviews from the team. We like it because it showcases a little of what we do (disguising/removing personal identifiers from data) and because it shows our playful side. We don’t like it because it’s not super professional looking having a canned emoji as a favicon.
Square:
Our current logo has a box around AI which is a nod to how our software is delivered. We run as a container within our clients existing workflows. That way the data never leaves their environment and is never shared with us (unlike our competitors). We're not at all married to the square, though.

Final files
If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
