I’m interested in abstract logo, not an text only logo.
My characteristics and values: Straightforward, Down-to-earth, Trustworthy, Analytical, Open for new things, Technology.
The style should be clear, bright, white background. Colors, blue, font: black, gray, As fonts I like Roboto, Source Sans Pro.
The design should symbolize innovation and transformation.
The logo should be so clear that it (or a part of it) can be used as a square icon (Fav-Icon, LinkedIn Company Icon).
I have already played with a text logo and colors what I like, see attachment, but this is not a specification.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
