This time, the Grey (its sequel) explores the vulnerable part of the characters and the story itself. Miles, the one who design the cover, I feel him a little more serious, more mature in some way... I wanted to capture that feeling, the transition, he's going to and the process of grief they’re all facing, but maintaining the personality of Miles, for me, a resolute optimist and the most caring and sensible character I've ever read.")

This book is about \"Elle\", the protagonist, exploring the new world she had visited during \"Freefall\". For this cover however, there were 3 main sketches and the Jana (Author) liked this approach. Then I developed the sketch into a full artwork with all the relevant details she wanted me to include. This artwork shows a good connection to its prequel cover \"Freefall\". I think this artwork gives that hopeful yet mysterious feeling of visiting a completely new planet.")

The below is how the client wanted the cover to look like;
\"So, I want the same (as in \"King's Imitation\") sort of two color background ripped design. I think it would be awesome if the spines of the three books, lined up, look like a continuous pattern, meaning the rips of white and rips of color all line up, if that's not too hard.
The main focus this time is either a small hammer that seems to be made entirely of light/crystal light. And since there is a secondary item in the first book's title, a very old looking, thin book is a main part of this story as well.\"
I designed the book 1 as well so it was easier for me to take the same design style here as well. I had to come up with a concept design and create the main hammer for this cover.")

The client, David, provided me a brief context on a scene he has in his book, to implement as a design for the overall book. This time unlike the cooler color tones of the first book, had to give a warmer feeling to the reader. But at the same time preserve the design consistency of the series. David provided a bunch of his own stock images for me to work with, and was highly satisfied with the design I came up with, and together we perfected it by making minor changes.
