We started fresh on the 7.1 platform, working with her to feature her handcrafted pottery in a beautiful, minimalist way. We ended up testing a few different variations of the homepage before landing on the perfect fit. We also helped create a custom logo variation using her existing branding so that it was more web friendly. The final website includes a Home page, About page, Gallery, and a Stocklists page with contact information. We used a neutral palette and custom code for some unique touches. Ultimately her website is intended to be a functional gallery of her photography, with a secondary goal of driving interested visitors to her Fine Art America profile and upcoming Etsy profile for sales. We used a portfolio type page for her homepage, allowing for an interactive hover effect to better capture her main photography niches, along with a separate mixed gallery with additional imagery. We also prepared a blog for her, loading in and styling her first three posts, and providing her with both access to our recorded resource library of Squarespace Tutorials as well as a bespoke training for specific requests she had for managing her website.
