They wanted a high end, modern and premium looking brand to appeal to more affluent parents/guardians who are more likely to spend their disposable income on kids travel essentials.
To incorporate the theme of travel, I created a simple sunshine mascot and then utilised the sun-rays into the main logo. The typography has been fully customised to give a chunky, rounded feel - keeping the design friendly and approachable whilst maintaining an upmarket feel.
The colour palette was a muted selection of primary and child friendly colours.")

:format(webp)/99designs-contests-attachments/85/85118/attachment_85118361 "Given that Kitschy Coo Boutique is an establishment that appeals to mothers searching for high quality, original items for their kids and that it has a very specific, a very personal identity, I created a design that juxtaposes originality and a vintage-inspired imagery; the logo mark is inspired by vintage illustrations, but with a modern and fresh twist that will bring it in the present day, while still hinting a retro style. I tried to create an organic connection between the wording and the image, so that together they create a unitary whole (although the mark can easilly stand alone representing the boutique). I chose to show here the logo in two versions: in line only, in an appealing colour that can match products for both boys and girls and in colour; for this version I chose to use primary colours in bright tones, in order to perserve simplicity and to illustrate that the items are dedicated to kids.")

Given that this brand is dedicated to kids, I kept my focus on designing a playful and full of imagination logo and thus I chose not to oversimplify the mark – the toy bunny – but try to stimulate imagination throug it (being a rather complex image, it tells a story without words), while keeping it readable at a small scale, so that it works as a visual identity in a variety of contexts. The font I used is playful, yet clean and clear and interacts here with the visual mark through color to form with it a unitary whole, making it a visual element as well.")
