BRIEF
Client: \"I want a character that is easily recognizable, copyrightable, and yet complex enough to distinguish our company at first site. We are thinking of some version of a screaming goat as a logo.\"
DESIGN PROCESS
Following the client's suggestion in the brief, I decided to work on the concept of a screaming goat.
They asked me if I could create a goat with sunglasses to make it look cooler, but after several tests we realized that the crazy eyes (which he has in the final version) work better.
Near the end of the project I had the idea of placing the goat on the top of a mountain so that it really seemed like it was screaming at the top of its lungs from there and they loved the idea.")

Client: \"We have designed a program to attract gamers to want to workout and get healthy. They will be receiving a monthly box with cool workouts and information on health that will be related to video games so that they will be excited to workout.\"
DESIGN PROCESS
Since gaming and exercise are activities that nobody usually thinks are related to each other, the challenge of this project was to represent both in the same design and that it makes sense.
The concept that I presented to the client was the idea of a character who is clearly a gamer, playing video games with one hand and exercising with the other. This made it seem like it was fun and easy to do.
The client loved the concept.
The only thing left to do is some color tests and different expressions on the character's face until we find the perfect match.")

DESIGN PROCESS
The first step was to research online about the client to know him more in depth.
As a basketball player he had a classic pose that he frequently did in photos (flexing his biceps) so he decided to capture that image in the logo.
I looked for reference photos and started working on the design.
I created a sporty style logo that also offers different variations to be used in different situations.
The client loved the logo so much from the first samples that it was not necessary to make any corrections to the design.")

We are a Nike soccer club. Include their swoosh on the ball with a more up-to-date ball design than the checkered black and white ball. \"
DESIGN PROCESS
I started by doing some research about Seattle WA to know its landscapes and to understand \"essence\" of the city.
I also did a bit of research on the new Nike soccer ball models. I wanted to use a model that is not only modern, but is a real product of that brand.
All this was injected into a project to create a cool, modern badge style design.")

\"Frozen Rope\" is a Major League Baseball term that means hard hit line drive.

Client: \"I like a strong, inviting character that people can connect with that's swinging the bat. And text.\"
DESIGN PROCESS
After some messages with the client we thought it would be a good idea for the character to use a rope as a bat.
During the design process I came up with the idea to make the rope appear frozen on top. This would complete the visual representation of \"Frozen Rope\".
The client was very happy with the first samples and it only took a few final adjustments to complete the project.")
