I used a handwritten font to give the design dynamicity and a more spontaneous feel and I emphasized the link between text and image by placing it in a certain visual relationship to the other elements, in a certain place in the composition. I wanted to suggest rather than illustrate and this design seems to me to be challenging the border between the two.")

I chose, as a central element, a witty text with a pun, that makes the card autoreferential – besides the most obvious meaning, it could refer to the jumper or to the greeting card itself.")

I used a vintage-inspired font in all-caps for the name, easily readable, but expressive through its long, wavy lines, complementing the straight lines and sharp corners of the M shape and a simpler font for the word “architect” that curves like and arch above the logomark. As a final accent, I gave the logo an overall stamp-like retro texture, giving it a little more depth and expressivity.")
