Since “New England” is the most important element of the name, imagotype logos which communicate “NE” or “NEV” are preferable.
While we encourage designers to use any colors, we’ll add that colors typically associated with New England are consistent with the American flag: red, white, and blue. (see New England Patriots, New England Revolution, and Boston Red Sox logos)
Finally, if you’re thinking about shapes, a velodrome oval is preferable to the shape of a bicycle since we expect to build a multi-sport facility. (possibly also used for speed skating, running, etc)")
