This extraordinary work was influenced by organic architecture and inspired by natural elements – the surrounding mountains and topographic reliefs.
After the devastating earthquake in 1963, the opera and ballet house in Skopje was planned as a deconstruct building with respect to the rebuilding of the whole city and is itself a sculpture with a strong expressive and dramatic character. It is emphasized by the total absence of color and the sense of massiveness that the concrete gives us, forming a new white landscape incorporated in the tissue of the city.
With the new urban plan of Skopje 2014, a number of changes occurred in the landscaping and surrounding weaving. The new urban structures completely altered the Macedonian Opera and Ballet building, making it almost invisible.
This illustration is a homage to my city.")
