Pinelawn is a large, non-sectarian memorial park (cemetery) established in 1902. The main element of the logo is the graphic of emblem/badge based on an old bronze plaque placed on the gate of the establishment. A new typography selected is definitely more sophisticated and, although being still classic, brings a kind of freshness to the design.")

This design proposal combines a dynamically curved thread with an embroidery needle, creating the initial letters \"U\" and \"S\" for \"Urbane Stickerei\". The needle in the centre of the action is itself part of the \"U\" and is surrounded by the \"S\".
The client liked this design, but decided to go with a different concept from me that had an even simpler and iconic symbol, making it even more suitable for use on social networks. You can see the final approved logo here:

Quantitative investing takes a scientific data-centric approach to invest money, by building statistical forecasting models as a set of very complex rules in order to make decisions.
The three shapes within the circle symbolize an upward directed financial bar chart, conveying that financial success is an inherent ingredient of QuantHub. The parallel shapes also remind of conductor tracks, so that the symbol fits well in the environment of a software OS. Finally, the symbol represents an abstract Q matching the initial letter of QuantHub.
The customer wanted a simple logo that works in both the smallest resolutions of 32x32 pixels as a favicon, but also in full-size glory. It was a great collaboration. The customer felt the same way and so he invited me to also redesign the logo for his parent company.")
