Note: On Dec. 14, 2020, they officially announced that the team's name would change following the team's 2021 season.
DESIGN PROCESS
I started the design process by researching the Walleye Fish. I needed to discover what it looked like and what its characteristics were.
A very distinctive feature of this fish is the forward jaw and teeth, so I represented that in the mascot.

The cient mentioned that the name of the team was based on the brand of sneakers that Benny \"The Jet\" Rodriguez wore in the movie Sandlot, so I decided to inspire the character of the logo on him.")

So I added George Washington's statue (one of the city's landmarks) to the logo to reflect this.
I also added some sport's gears to created a distinctive badge, as a reference to the sport's culture of the city.
All elements were handmade, some, like George Washington were based on photos.")
