They were looking to develop a retail brand that centered around water and Greek Mythology as a concept. The waves were meant to evoke a sense of simplicity and softness, while the emanations of the Trident from the ocean was meant to center the concept.
The typography was also something I wanted to leverage. I felt an opportunity presented itself in the word Poseidon. When flipping the E and using the D in the name an interesting concept emerged with the use of an appropriate Typeface. The word 3D emerges. To my surprise, I found out that the team had already considered using Poseidn. Great synchronicity occurred and this design was the result.")

The logo's \"open\" circle speaks for communication on different levels. The circle concept symbolizes perfection and a fully encompassing way of looking at things. Within the outer circle, the core is visualized: meet the core, the core is joy, at the core is life. The core has moved upwards from the geometric center, expressing a positive development. And the core is not isolated: there is communication with the outside surface, both reaching out from the base (from below) to the core and leading upwards from the core. The diagonally ascending lines underline the impression of positive development.")

Since I had designed the logo for his previous company, Estefano asked me to also develop the VidLinked logo. The logo should convey: high quality, expensive, serious, excellent and reliable.
Each letter of the logo embodies strength and reliability with its clear contours. With its outwardly raised edges, the V as initial letter becomes the visual equivalent of victory: successful, victorious, excellent. The foundation of the V is reminiscent of a minimalistically abstracted diamond, thus underlining the attributes “high-quality” and “expensive\".
The special V works as great within the wordmark as detached as a standalone symbol which will prove to be very beneficial for use in social media.")

My logo design is based on the symbolism of a torch, which has a strong meaning in sports. It stands for the achievement of goals, for the pursuit of perfection. Not least because of the Olympic Games this meaning is known to everyone.
Beyond sport, the symbol also works perfectly for the charity aspect as it is associated with enlightenment and hope. Thus the Statue of Liberty, actually \"Liberty Enlightening the World\", lifts her torch. A torch held up symbolizes life, truth and the regenerative power of the flame.
