The mark also uses negative space to create dimension and uniqueness.")

Corpus Christi — the body of the Christ. This mark was created for an established US-based church, in Chatham, NJ. Having explored a number of directions, we circled down upon this. A bold, courageous, non-conventional mark. I wanted to create something that would stand above millennia. But also something alive. I set my mind to journey, back through so many pathways, to the centre of the labyrinth of Christianity. Along the way, the jolts informed the mark. It is cut. Like the body of the Christ was cut. In one part, it ascends. Like the body of the Christ ascended. It looks outward. Across a landscape. Across history. It draws the viewer to interpret. To understand. And beyond these characteristics, it is silent and permanent.")

Using Processing app, I created this arresting glitch art image of a woman. First, I wanted to give reference to the psychological state of obsession. But what I really want to do is to create a question mark as to whether this is a depiction of an inner state of psychopathy, or is how others came to view her, as she protests innocence, despite her proximity to a murder.")

In its initial stage of connecting with partners, the focus was on legibility of content. The work included custom graphics and illustration.
Through aggressive code optimisation, I was able to get the page to load below the key 2-second mark, with A-grade results in terms of best practices in web development.

Noumena in philosophy refers to the thing-in-itself: that which exists outside of, and precedes, perception. Making reference to this concept, the mark is an eye, constructed in such a way as to echo an N.

Designing for web3 is not easy. No one really knows, yet, what it can be, and what it will be. Then the ground shifted, and this mark and custom wordmark appeared, and I knew this was it. At once both futuristic and contemporary, legible and yet unusual, the design has edge while at the same time it is at home in the amorphous ether that is the emerging metaverse.")

We wanted the mark and wordmark to be bold, strong, and somewhat aggressive, able to stand out alongside the branding of Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull, and others. We settled on this mark that contains multiple layers. First, there is a sake bottle in negative space. Part of the bottle — the least amount of the bottle possible. Second, the outline curves up, like a Japanese torii (鳥居), the traditional gate commonly found at the entrance to a Shinto shrine, marking symbolically the transition from the mundane to the sacred. These lifted corners also look like horns, suggesting a strong, dominant presence. After arriving to the idea, the mark was gridded to ensure geometrical precision.")

Abstract, mysterious and slightly foreboding, it speaks to potential, having the aspect of a moment in time, captured while evolving.")
