The main objective was to transmit in the imagery the concepts of “Honor”, “Duty” and “Sacrifice” within an atmosphere of combat. However, I also kept some high contrasts and a certain dark style that gives a sense of mystery and suspense, as it is needed in thrillers’ covers.
It was also requested to connect the title and subtitle, forming a unique block, as well as a lettering that could convey a sense of “toughness”. The choice of the font and the scratched steel texture helped to achieve that goal.")

Icon is heavily based on infinity symbol on client's request. Due to some CNC limitations, closed loops were to be avoided so I developed an abstract design that kind of reminds of infinity symbol while not being one. Its made with mono-weight one stroke line with flat purple color and paired with custom made lettering that follows the same principle (no closed loops). Geometric and angular icon, as opposed to classic curved one, worked great leaving me and client happy with amazingly simple yet unqiue design.")

In this story the police partner of Edgar Vincent goes missing. The Chicago PD's homicide division abandons the search when his car is found near Lake Michigan, with a suicide note on the seats and absolutely zero traces of a body.
Edgar Vincent, however, cannot sit still while this injustice is carried out in the name of his partner, and decides to hit the mean streets of Chicago to track his buddy down, playing detective against the orders of his superiors, facing Chicago’s more sinister characters in the process.
My idea was to transmit that dark and dangerous atmosphere by showing the silhouette of the detective in one of the Chicago streets.
The contrast between the shadows and the spots of bright light helped to intensify the drama.")

Nonetheless, I love this design and its simplicity while still managing to clearly depict Arizona Monument Valley. Looking forward to find new home for this great logo ;)")
